Friends are a HUGE deal to me because...well...I don't have very many of them. But I followed this impression yesterday and it completely changed my life. There is a girl at the school who is semi-new and I have talked to her a couple times, but had never really made the effort to be her friend. Well yesterday I decided it was that day. We talked during prison (oops! intervention ;D) and it was just really awesome! We did some med-tech homework and kinda talked about random things, like Harry Potter. But in doing so I invited her to come with me since both my brothers had tests and work and they couldn't come. I thought that she wouldn't accept the invitation because we didn't know each other that well. But to my surprise she did and we went.
That night started off to be one of the funniest nights I would ever have in my life. I went to pick her up and I was outside her house. I called her to let her know and she was on her way out. I waited and waited and nothing happened. She called me and asked me where I was and I said I was outside her house....turns out I was on the wrong block! I was much embarrassed and then after recalculating my error, I found her. We dressed up like a true HP fan would and it was, well let's say, pretty epic! I think my favorite part was that it wasn't awkward for us at all. We made funny one sentence stories. My favorite one was about a kid named Chet who ran into a naked mole rat, wearing red vans, that really just turned out to be his aunt Marge who had a major skin condition. Anyway all in all it was the best night of my life! Not only did I make a new friend, but I realized that I am good at making friends and even when you don't know each other really well, you still have the time of your life.

Harry Potter!!!!!
The hype for this November is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I knew that when I first heard of this release date I immediately needed to buy tickets in advance. The challenge was to see if my mom would let me go to a midnight showing on a school night. Considering the circumstances...it was senior year, I was a senior, senior year, i'm responsible, senior year :)....my mom gave me the permission to attend. It was a stormy Thursday afternoon and I went and bought the last two tickets for a midnight showing. I was so elated and just pumped that I finally purchased tickets to this show.
The next day was devastation......
My mom had read the news and heard about the things that were going to premiere in the movie. She told me that I had to sell my tickets. I was so sad and basically all around upset. It was the highlight of my senior year and now....well it was semi-ruined. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. So in the heat of my brain and the chill of the night, I went running. I just ran until I couldn't anymore. I felt fine after my run even though I still had a feeling of disappointment. I couldn't believe I was going to miss the premiere of one of my favorite series.
But something changed....
Further research into the topic helped me and my mom make a thorough decision about the movie. In doing so the verdict changed into that I can go!!!!! So the highlight of my senior year isn't ruined. :) now the trick is finding someone to go with......
I think my New Zealand brother will do :)

Why....
Some of you may be thinking why I started this blog. I figured out (obviously) that blogging is now a popular trend in our young teenage lives. Now this may sound like I gave into peer pressure, but I saw it as an opportunity to make it some what a journal entry and share the good, bad, embarrassing, funny, and immature moments of my life. So in all of that, I hope you enjoy my new adventure!!
